Guy Limone was born in 1958. He lives and works in Paris.

Guy Limone’s work lies very much within the world of painting, without involving actual painting. He uses as his materials figures, everyday images and fluorescent tubes. He documents and rearranges a whole host of small elements using abstraction and minimalism, in an attempt to recreate order and clarity in a world full of chaos. This exhibition is presenting the series ‘Statistics’ which Guy Limone has been working on for 25 years. He creates crowds of tiny figures to make literal abstract statistical data, to which he gives back their human form and humanity. With the passage of time this work has been evolving to make a major component of colour, one of the artist’s major preoccupations.

Guy LImone is represented by the Perrotin Gallery, Paris.
