In the context of her exhibition “Une pièce de plus” (One More Piece) Tania Mouraud invites three personalities from the art world for a day of conversations looking at her work from many different points of view.
These exchanges continue the cycle of Great Conversations begun in 2009 with Kader Attia. Thus on a regular basis within their exhibitions artists invite members of the public to share in their artistic, cultural and intellectual preoccupations in the company of personalities from different backgrounds.
These exchanges will take place within her exhibition principally devoted to thirteen audio-perceptive environments which Tania Mouraud imagined at the turn of the 1970s, and at the time these ideas were extremely innovatory.
These discussions will allow the review of this series in particular, which significantly anticipated the developments of environments in contemporary art over the last three decades. Her work will also be presented more broadly, putting the dense work into its historical context, a work which has constantly reinvented itself using diverse types of media such as installations, language, mural painting, video and sound.
The issue of sound will be especially developed, constituting one of the current preoccupations of the artist, who also creates sound performances.
